The NBA (National Basketball Association) returns to London next year, with a regular-season clash to be held at The O2.
In what will be the first NBA game to be hosted in London since 2019, the Orlando Magic and the Memphis Grizzlies battle it out at The O2 on Sunday 18 January 2026. The same teams will also play in Berlin’s Uber Arena a few days earlier, on Thursday 15 January 2026, as part of a flurry of European-hosted NBA games over the next few years.
The NBA — America’s premier basketball league — consists of 15 Eastern Conference Teams and 15 Western Conference Teams — Orlando Magic in the former, and Memphis Grizzlies in the latter.
Says the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan: “London is now the undisputed sporting capital of the world and the NBA coming to The O2 in January 2026 will further cement our global status.”
A launch date for ticket sales for the 2026 European games is yet to be announced, but you can already register your interest on the NBA website.
Further European NBA games will be played between as-yet-unconfirmed teams, in Manchester and Paris (2027) and Berlin and Paris (2028).
American sports have become a semi-regular fixture of the London sporting season, with the occasional NFL American football game played here since 2007, and the MLB London Series launching in 2019.
